Last night I watched a Canada goose family one parent in front the other as rear guard eating in our hayfield headed for the pond, earlier in the day I saw swallows on their nests, bluebirds guarding theirs, goldfinches and robins all working together to protect their young.
Spring is a time of reaffirmation in the richness of life, the variety of all living things from the rabbits and squirrels to the coyote pups. We startled a tiny fawn on one of our walks. Mom must have been beside her. We are loving watching all this .
So this Father’s Day we note with gratitude all the good parenting and love we are seeing all around us at our farm and The Swallows Nest.
