Last evening a friend and I had dinner at the Lake House on Lake Bomoseen. We drove home in the late evening sunshine and stopped by first the Hubbardton memorial- simple, elegant , then drove in to see the Japanese gardens at Mount Zion. They are a mere 6 miles away from The Swallows Nest. A small sign directs you to hiking.
Follow those signs park in a field and walk down a slope to the bottom of the cliff. There the owners have created with rock water and footbridges a charming Japanese garden. The entire place is lovely and not to be missed when you stay with us.
